We (Dr. Groves and Dr. Britt) are bariatric surgeons and have over 20 years of experience doing the most common weight loss surgeries which include: laparoscopic gastric bypass, Lap-Band, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, and the Orbera intragastric balloon. You may wonder how that surgical experience translates to medical weight loss.
We have employed medical weight loss strategies to help our patients reach their weight loss goals following surgery, especially if their weight loss stalled or plateaued. This success resulted in many patient referrals from those who wanted to avoid the knife but still wanted to lose weight.
Our method addresses the key pillars of weight loss including appetite suppression, nutrition, and exercise.
If you have questions about phentermine (Adipex,) phendimetrazine (Bontril), buproprion/naltrexone (Contrave), metformin, diethylpropion (Tenuate), phentermine/topiramate (Qsymia), or the GLP-1 (Peptides) family of drugs we have experience with all of these.
If you have questions about the ketogenic diet, low carb diet (Paleo/Mediterranean), intermittent fasting, anti-inflammatory diets (autoimmune), balanced diets, or fatty liver diets (NAFLD) we have experience with all of these.
Lastly, we are not just weight loss specialists, but we are our own examples with Dr. Groves having maintained a weight loss of 140 lbs for over 15 years and Dr. Britt having maintained a weight loss of 70 lbs for over 11 years.
